Principal Investigator

Dr. Nova Law: Dr. Nova Law serves as Principal Investigator at Birmingham Clinical Research Institute, bringing extensive clinical and research experience to the conduct of clinical trials. Her early research experience included HIV research at UCLA, where she contributed to important scientific work that helped advance the understanding of infectious disease. Dr. Law later earned her Doctor of Medicine degree and became a board-certified family physician. Her clinical research experience spans multiple therapeutic areas, including cardiovascular disease, metabolic disorders, obesity and weight management, and infectious diseases. Her professional background includes scientific publications and collaborations with leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology organizations. Certified in Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Dr. Law is committed to rigorous study conduct, regulatory compliance, participant safety, data quality, and ethical research practices. Dr. Law founded Birmingham Clinical Research Institute with a mission to expand access to innovative clinical trials, strengthen the representation of diverse and historically underrepresented populations in medical research, and help ensure that advances in medicine benefit the communities that need them most.
